The power of art to bring us together is undisputed. The power of public art to speak to every passer-by on the street is even more powerful. The British artist Marc Quinn’s major new public artwork – Our Blood – will launch in Summer 2021 in New York. It is a global touring exhibition that will be exhibited around the world.
Our Blood is a monument to our common humanity and emphasises that there is more that unites us than divides us. The sculpture is made of 2 identical cubes of frozen human blood, made from donations by 2500 resettled refugee volunteers and the other by 2500 non-refugee volunteers.
The aim is to raise awareness and funds via donations for people affected by the global refugee crisis.
